When one of New Zealand’s blue chip property investment companies, KCL, entered into negotiations to house one of New Zealand’s leading architectural practices they turned to Naylor Love for a single line of accountability solution.

The project involved the design and build of a new 480m², two-storeyed addition, and refurbishment of the second floor of the existing building to the standard required to showcase Jasmax, who were both architect and tenant.

One of the challenges involved working around a research laboratory that had to operate as usual. The Naylor Love/Jasmax combination was a true success and the project went extremely well, with Jasmax awarding Naylor Love the fit-out contract for their offices.

The Jasmax building was also awarded the NZIA 2009 Local Auckland Architecture Award – Interior Architecture, and the Gold Award in the 2009 BeST Design Awards – Offices and Workplace Environments. And it won accolades for Naylor Love from the people who work at Jasmax – see the following page.
